Chad and I created a flash game a few years back. The story was that you had to go around to collect money and kill aliens with farts while assembling the parts of a big missile. Once the missile is finished, you launch it at the mother ship. Unfortunately, we lost interest and moved on to other things before we could implement most of that, but Chad and I worked on it for about a year. I was going to college and we’d both go to PJ’s bar most nights back then, and we’d sit and talk and plan what we were gonna do… He would do the art and I’d figure out how to implement the mechanics.
Chad just thought it was the funniest concept. There is also a yellow house you can enter, which is Chad’s recreation of “the lounge” where we’d all hang out.
I wish we had taken it a little further, but I graduated and got a full-time job and wasn’t going down to the bar as often. Then they changed the license for flash and I didn’t want to spend the money to upgrade, so it never went any further, plus we were running into frame rate issues on the computers of the time… But every time Chad and I would see each other since then, we’d reminisce about the game.
It was such a fun and exciting time for us.
